The/Nudge Institute is an action institute working towards a poverty-free India within our lifetime. Founded in 2015 by Atul Satija, the organization partners with governments, markets, and civil society to build resilient livelihoods for all through grassroots engagement and systemic interventions to enable sustainable and scalable impact. The institute operates through two key pillars: Livelihood Programs focusing on direct intervention programs, and Livelihood Ecosystem for enabling a stronger ecosystem to build livelihoods of India's most marginalized. Set up with support from 90+ eminent philanthropists, 40+ corporates, and 15+ foundations, The/Nudge works with social entrepreneurs, women, farmers, tribals, and youth on rural development, agriculture, skilling, and economic inclusion, along with 15 central and state government partners. The/Nudge's vision is to achieve a poverty-free India by 2047, when India celebrates 100 years of independence. Its mission is to alleviate poverty sustainably by building resilient livelihoods through partnerships and evidence-based solutions.
