NCAER is India’s oldest and largest independent economic policy research think tank, established in 1956 in New Delhi. It combines rigorous economic analysis with large-scale data collection to inform public policy on growth, macroeconomics, human development, agriculture, trade, infrastructure, health, gender and state-level issues. NCAER undertakes research studies, surveys and impact evaluations, and disseminates findings through publications, policy briefs, journals, events and outreach.
