Associate, CTO's Office

Closed

We are hiring an Associate in the CTO’s Office — the operational and technical right hand to the CTO as he builds out the technology org. This is not a rotational generalist slot and it is not a traditional chief-of-staff role. It is a hybrid engineer-operator role for someone who can write software, read a codebase, reason about a product, and still happily spend a Tuesday afternoon cleaning up a deployment tracker or coordinating an onboarding schedule. You will sit close enough to the CTO to absorb how a technology org actually runs — from architecture reviews to hiring loops to partner escalations — and you will ship real tools, not just manage spreadsheets. The best version of this person is a strong early-career software engineer who is bored of pure feature work and wants breadth, context, and proximity to decision-making — the kind of person who will learn more in a year here than they would in three years on a product team elsewhere. If you want to eventually start a company, lead engineering, or become a CTO yourself, this is a front-row seat.

Operations Associate

Closed

We are hiring an Operations Associate to be one of the first people on Adalat AI’s customer support and success function. You will be the connective tissue between the partnerships team, the engineering team, and the people actually using our products — judges, court staff, registrars, and lawyers across India. This is a founding seat on the support org. There is no mature ticketing pipeline for you to step into; you will help design it which addressing it. There are no SOPs for user escalations; you will write them. We have a preference (not a requirement) for candidates with a law background — an LLB, BA LLB, LLM, or equivalent — who have gravitated towards technology. Courts are our users, legal workflows are our domain, and people who natively understand both sides of that equation have a significant advantage. That said, we will happily hire someone without a law degree who demonstrates unusual clarity of thinking, a genuine feel for users, and the operational chops to build a support function from scratch.

Lead Product Designer

Closed

As Lead Product Designer, you will own design for Adalat AI’s flagship product and help define the design vision across our growing product suite. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has led small to mid-sized design teams in fast-moving environments and enjoys product ownership. You’ll work closely with the founders to define product vision, and with our on-ground legal partnerships team to embed user-first, research-driven practices across the design process. This role is less about pixel-perfect mobile UI and more about systems thinking, product strategy, team leadership, and taste.

Senior Product Designer

Closed

As Senior Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping one of Adalat AI’s new core product initiatives. This is a hands-on 0-1 IC role for a senior designer who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership end-to-end, and brings strong product judgment to early and evolving problem spaces. We design for uniquely Indian legal contexts, varied tech adoption, language needs, and legacy processes. You’ll partner closely with the founders and our on-ground legal team as a core product counterpart to bring clarity to ambiguous problems, validate direction and push to production with speed.

Lead Engineer - Full Stack

Closed

As a Lead Engineer at Adalat AI, you will own technical leadership for several of our products - spanning frontend, backend, database and infra. You will shape and drive our product roadmap, set best practices for architecture, code quality and deployment. You will mentor and grow a team of engineers, help transform mid-level developers into senior contributors, and ensure the team consistently delivers high-impact, production-grade features. You’ll work closely with product/design/legal/QA and domain-experts (judiciary, linguists, policy stakeholders). Your role is less about just shipping features, and more about building foundation: processes, standards, scalable architecture, developer culture, and long-term technical vision.

Full Stack Engineer

Closed

We're hiring a Fullstack Developer to own and deliver end-to-end features for our courtroom transcription platform. You'll be working across the stack on real-time audio playback, backend services, database design, to deliver beautiful UX for busy judges. You'll also help shape our design system and collaborate with a small team of elite builders shipping impactful features fast. Currently we have 2 positions open for this role.
