Punjab Development Commission (PDC) invites applications from highly motivated students and individuals passionate about contributing to public policy, governance innovation and development. PDC is an action-driven government think tank led by the Chief Minister. It supports policy formulation, monitors execution of government schemes and programmes, and advises the Chief Minister on policies and initiatives of strategic importance and political priorities. Interns will gain hands-on experience in governance, public policy research, strategic planning, data-driven decision making, and real-time implementation with senior government officers across multiple thematic areas including School Education, Higher/Technical Education, Health & Family Welfare, Public Finance, Energy, Agriculture, Rural Development, Economic Growth, and Social Welfare.

• Conduct policy research and data analysis on assigned themes • Support strategic planning and evidence-based policy recommendations • Assist senior officers in monitoring implementation and governance initiatives • Prepare reports, briefs, and presentation materials • Participate in meetings, field visits, and stakeholder consultations • Contribute to PDC's think tank initiatives and knowledge management

• Currently enrolled in a graduate or postgraduate program • Graduates/postgraduates who completed their degree within the last 1 year • Strong interest in public policy, governance, and social impact • Excellent analytical and research capabilities • Proficiency in MS Office and data tools • Good communication skills (English mandatory)

• Monthly stipend of ₹25,000 • Official completion certificate • Flexible 2-3 month duration (extendable up to 6 months) • Hands-on experience in public policy and governance • Mentorship from senior government officers • Exposure to multiple thematic areas of public interest
