About this role
A senior leadership role responsible for steering NHAI’s environmental compliance and clearances across major national highway projects, overseeing complex EIA/EMP processes, forest and wildlife proposals, and high-level environmental management.
Requirements
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Agriculture, Environment Science, Forestry, Horticulture, Geology, Chemistry, Geography, Animal Husbandry, or Veterinary Science. Or B.Tech/M.Tech in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering. Or Officer of the Indian Forest Service (IFS). National Highways Authority of India Experience: 14 years of post-qualification experience, • with at least 9 years in environmental clearances (Environment/CRZ/Forest/Wildlife). • experience in EIA/EMP preparation, Forest/wildlife proposals, and monitoring/analysis of environmental parameters. National Highways Authority of India Deputation Eligibility: Holding an analogous post in Level-13 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 1,23,100–2,15,900) OR 5 years’ regular service in Level-12 (Rs. 78,800–2,09,200) or equivalent. Must possess the essential qualification and experience. National Highways Authority of India Age & Tenure Maximum age 56 years on closing date. Deputation tenure typically 1–5 years, with extensions per rules.
